Kanye West deactivates Instagram
The rapper posted the deactivation confirmation page to his Instagram story before shortly before going through with it.
After a report detailing Kanye West’s defunct 2024 presidential campaign quoted the Ye as saying he wants to be “left alone” and is currently focusing on Donda Academy and his family, the controversial artist has deactivated his Instagram account. Before going through with it, though, he shared a screenshot of the deactivation page confirmation to his stories. His account disappeared shortly thereafter.
The last several months have not been easy for Kanye. Two weeks ago (April 5), former employees at Donda Academy filed a lawsuit against the school for racial discrimination and wrongful termination. Back in December, his longtime collaborator Pusha T revealed he was no longer speaking to him after Ye continued his antisemitic, alt-right campaign across various platforms, sharing swastika imagery on Twitter, being interviewed by Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, and debuting a song on Alex Jones’ InfoWars.
