Ivy Lab share new single “Profit”
The duo say the single is the first of many this spring and summer.
Britsh electronic music duo Ivy Lab have just released their first single of the year, “Profit.” The track is out on their own label, Twenty Twenty London. Known for their penchant to dabble in every genre — their catalog ranges from hip-hop beats to drum & bass — the venerated experimenters have also solidified themselves as revered tastemakers both through their imprint and live sets. This past week, they've just come home from a global live audiovisual tour for their latest album, Infinite Falling Ground.
Injecting South Asian influence into their idiosyncratic UK bass sound, “Profit” boasts bold vocal samples atop its mind-altering, fragmented beat. The single is just the start of more music to be expected in the coming months, they say.
“Fully in the mood to follow this one up with a whole season of genre/bpm irreverence,” Ivy Lab shared in an Instagram post today (April 19). “This track… marks the beginning of a spring/summer of dancefloor orientated [sic] singles from the lab.”
