Weyes Blood shares surreal and theatrical “It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody” video
And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow is out in November.
Earlier this month Weyes Blood returned with her excellent new single "It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody." The song marks the impending arrival of Natalie Mering's new album And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow with The FADER's Raphael Helfand describing it as a song that "expands on the grandeur of her previous project, giving her towering voice an even more splendid platform."
Today brings the "It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody" video and things are getting weird. Mering stars as an actress getting her big break on stage. The only snag? Her co-star is a cell phone that is pissed off at the world and in no mood to help his new cast mate. The visual is a mixture of live-action and animation and was directed by Charlotte Ercoli. Press materials cite United States Navy song "The Anchors Aweigh" and post-apocalyptic action movie The Omega Man as inspirations. Check it out above.
And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow is out November 18 and is the follow-up to 2019's Titanic Rising, the first album of three in a special trilogy. Weyes Blood’s In Holy Flux Tour will take place across Europe and North America next year. See below for dates and venue details.
