Teyana Taylor, a.k.a Firefly, wins The Masked Singer
The G.O.O.D. Music artist said appearing on the show made performing “fun again, there’s no judgement.”
The Masked Singer, the Fox reality show that doubles as a surreal talent show and a rehabilitator for disgraced politicians, ended its latest season on Wednesday night. Look away now if you don't want to know the result but Firefly was crowned the winner and was then revealed to be Teyana Taylor. Firefly won over the Masked Singer audience with her performances of Usher's "Bad Girl" and "Lost Without U" by Robin Thicke. Guesses from the judges panel as to who Firefly might have been included Alicia Keys and Monica (as well as some correctly suggesting it was Taylor behind the mask).
Talking about why she wanted to take part in the series, Taylor said: “I was like, this would be something really nice to do and just be able to sing again. It would be fun again and there’s no judgement. Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out.”
Taylor recently revealed details of an upcoming tour, a run of shows she has claimed will be her last ever.
