Post Malone shares release date for new album twelve carat toothache
His latest project is out on June 3.
In a new Billboard profile published on Wednesday, Post Malone announced that his new album twelve carat toothache will be released on June 3. The pop-rap star's third album Hollywood's Bleeding was released in 2019.
Malone revealed a few hints of what to expect from twelve carat toothache: it will clock in at 45 minutes, making it his shortest album to date, and deal with his relationship to celebrity. “[The new song] speak more to how I’m feeling at the moment: the ups and downs and the disarray and the bipolar aspect of being an artist in the mainstream,” he told the magazine.
The album's relatively short length could have influenced its delay. In January, Malone's manager Dre London said that the project was being stalled by Republic Records for unspecified reasons. "Now it’s time for the label to get the business right before we drop BIG Album," he wrote.
Last weekend, Malone shared previews of new songs on Instagram Live that featured artists like Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch, and Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. He was also the surprise guest during 21 Savage's Coachella set, appearing onstage for a performance of their hit "Rockstar."
