Jazmine Sullivan wins Best R&B Album for Heaux Tales at the 2022 Grammys
It’s the second Grammy award of the evening for the singer-songwriter.
Jazmine Sullivan's Heaux Tales won the award for Best R&B album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. The project beat albums by Snoh Aalegra (Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies), Jon Batiste (We Are), Leon Bridges (Gold-Diggers Sound), and H.E.R. (Back of My Mind).
In her acceptance speech, Sullivan spoke about the album's creation as "a safe space for Black women to tell their stories, for us to learn from each other, laugh with each other, and not be exploited." Watch her acceptance below.
Heaux Tales came in at No. 4 on our Best Albums of 2021 list. Sullivan has also won the award for Best R&B Performance, sharing the award with Silk Sonic for "Leave The Door Open."
