Saba shares music video for new song “Stop That,” reveals album release date
Few Good Things is out February 4, 2022.
Back in 2018, Saba shared his second album CARE FOR ME, an electric document of deep pain and a breakout for the Chicago rapper. Few Good Things, his third full-length, was announced earlier this month with the song "Fearmonger." Today, Saba reveals the release date – February 4, 2022 – along with a new song and music video called "Stop That."
In contrast to the loose, cookout-friendly funk of "Fearmonger," the music of "Stop That" more closely reflects the introspective lyrics Saba is known for. Pitched-down horns keep the vibe of the beat brooding while Saba lets loose without ever losing focus on what matters: "If we gotta gamble," he raps, "I bet on myself, all that other shit dangerous."
Read Saba's statement on the song below:
I feel like more often than not, we let our own judgement of ourselves knock our confidence off before anyone else even offers any feedback. Our own insecurities ring really loudly in our heads, to the point where we make ourselves smaller before giving anyone else the chance to. This is something that I feel like I found myself beginning to do over the years. Hiding from the uncomfortable moment. And this song works as my noticing and correcting that.
A month after the album drops, Saba will embark on a world tour. Find dates here.
