TORRES shares “Don’t Go Puttin Wishes in My Head,” announces new album

Last year, Mackenzie Scott a.k.a. TORRES shared her fourth full-length album Silver Tongue. A follow-up is already on the way: Thirstier, the new TORRES album, is out July 30 via Merge. Its first single "Don't Go Puttin Wishes in My Head" is a swelling slice of synth-rock that comes with a music video starring TORRES in a scene of domestic bliss.

“I’ve been conjuring this deep, deep joy that I honestly didn’t feel for most of my life,” Scott said in a press statement about the album. “I feel like a rock within myself. And I’ve started to feel that I have what it takes to help other people conjure their joy, too.”
