Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announce joint album
The duo, going under the name Silk Sonic, will release its first song next week.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have teamed up for joint project called Silk Sonic. The duo's first song will be released next Friday, March 5, with a full album to follow. A title and release date for the album remains TBC but it will feature Bootsy Collins (Parliament Funkadelic) as "special guest host."
Mars and .Paak have not collaborated before but they toured together during the European leg of Mars’ 24K Magic world tour in 2017. That tour was in support of Mars' album of the same name. .Paak’s Ventura came out in 2019. Last year he dropped a series of singles, including “Jewelz,” “Lockdown” and a remix featuring Noname, and Trolls World Tour track “Don’t Slack” with Justin Timberlake.
