We invited our readers to try it out for themselves for a shot at a FADER profile, and were totally floored by the dozens and dozens of submissions. While Johannesburg trio Art Bishups won this round, we wanted to give a shout-out to four other entries that really captivated us with their performances.
Moonga K.
Performed from the sanctuary of his backyard, Zambian-born, Botswana-raised, Johannesburg-based artist Moonga K.’s “Heartbeat 8” blossoms like the flowers surrounding him. The song appears on his project an ode to growth, pt. 1, which dropped earlier this year.

Let it be known that all rising songwriter Amanda Ong needs is her voice and a guitar to tackle her problems. “Leave Me Alone” is due to release in early 2021, following the arrival of her new EP, Amanda.
