BTS’s “Dynamite” is No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100
It’s the K-pop group’s highest-charting song ever.
BTS's first English language song "Dynamite" has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's the group's first chart-topper and their highest ranking song since "On" peaked at No. 4 this year.
The song debuted in late August against stiff competition. "WAP" by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion premiered at the top of the charts four days later the release of "Dynamite," with Drake and Lil Durk's "Laugh Now Cry Later" bowing at No. 2. With "Dynamite" at No. 1, "WAP" and "Laugh Now" both slide down one place to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Last night, BTS dressed up as New York yuppies and performed "Dynamite" at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards. Watch that, and the rest of the show's standout performances, here.
