There will also be full stations ran by artists like Thom Yorke. Full stations from Brittany Howard (launching 5/5), David Byrne, and Third Man Records are scheduled as well. These two features will be ad-free. Yorke said in a press release that his station will be composed of "what I have found recently that fascinates or moves me, what obsesses me, challenges me, opens new doors, reminds me of what i might have forgotten, is insanely complex or elegantly simple, violent, messy, heavy or light. whatever has hit me over the head basically. It may be new or old or just dug up again."

Howard described her station, The Encyclopedia of Brittany, as "a collection of songs that weaves in and out of my personal education of music and how one goes about making it."

For those tuning into terrestrial stations, Sonos Radio has built in the option of listening to an ad-tailored network of more than 60,000 radio stations around the world from TuneIn and iHeartRadio with plans to expand.

To tie all of this into a neat bow, Philip Glass has sound-designed the sonic logo for Sonos Radio.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
