Hear Bright Eyes’ new song “Forced Convalescence,” featuring Flea on bass
It’s the second single from Bright Eyes’ as yet untitled ninth studio album.
Bright Eyes have released the second song from their forthcoming ninth studio album. “Forced Convalescence” features a suspiciously funk-leaning bassline, which, according to a press release, comes courtesy of Flea. Listen to the single above.
Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott announced the return of Bright Eyes two months ago alongside a new song, "Persona Non Grata." The album, the first under the Bright Eyes moniker since 2011's The People's Key and the group's debut for Dead Oceans, doesn't have a name or an official release date yet.
The band were set to embark on a tour of Japan starting late last month, but all of their dates through June have since been postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
