Lil Uzi Vert has the No.1 album in the country
Eternal Atake enjoyed the biggest streaming week since 2018.
Lil Uzi Vert is sitting on top of the Billboard 200 with new album Eternal Atake. The album, released on March 6, made its way to the top spot via the biggest streaming week for an album since 2018, Billboard has confirmed.
Eternal Atake sold 288,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 12. Uzi's previous album, Luv Is Rage 2, also debuted at No.1 following its release in 2017 with 135,000 units. Of those 288,000 units, 278,000 were down to streams of the album. This equates to songs from the album being played 400 million times in its first week of release.
The last album to achieve streaming figures of that volume was Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, which debuted with 433 million in 2018.
Eternal Atake could be set to dominate the charts going forward. One week after the album was released Uzi dropped a deluxe edition of the record boasting 14 additional tracks and collaborations with Future, Young Thug, and Gunna among others.
