Christine and the Queens drops new single “People, I’ve been sad”
Her first solo single since releasing Chris in 2018.
She didn't release any solo music, but 2019 still wound up to be a massive year for Christine and the Queens, the project of French art pop oracle Héloïse Letissier. As well as landing a number of impressive gigs including sets at Coachella, Primavera, and the Guggenheim International Gala, she teamed with Charli XCX for arguably the most critically adored pop collaboration of the year, "Gone." But she's been going through it off stage — a confession she makes on her aptly titled new single, "People, I've been sad."
This being a Christine and the Queens song, even the saddest times can evoke the uniquely anthemic spirit that courses through each of her albums. The single arrives with a new lavender-hued performance video courtesy of COLORS Studio. Check it out below.
