It's Super Bowl Sunday, and you know what that means: We get to see a splashy and glamorous 12-to-15-minute performance by one of the world's most dazzling stars that features ostentatious displays of technical showmanship and unfettered flexing of cultural might! This year, it was Jennifer Lopez's turn to show off her performance prowess, and she's joined in Miami by Shakira, another iconic symbol of Latin music's crossover into the American mainstream. Lopez is fresh off a year in which she was nominated for a handful of prestigious awards for her role in Hustlers; the half-time show was something of a celebration of her lengthy career.
