Hayley Kiyoko cancels upcoming North American tour
“The timing for the tour didn’t go the way we had hoped.”
With less than two weeks before its original kick-off date, Hayley Kiyoko canceled her upcoming North American tour, sharing the bad news via social media.
“The timing for the tour didn’t go the way we had hoped and due to a lot of factors not aligning for the year ahead, I am forced to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel my upcoming North American tour,” Kiyoko wrote in an Instagram post. “I have never canceled one show date in my entire career and so this is really one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, and even more heartbreaking to express to you.”
After announcing the tour back in October, it was supposed to kick off in San Diego on January 29th and run until March 13th in Hollywood. "I promise we will look back at this time and know it led to something bigger and greater. Please know that I’m not going anywhere," she said, adding that she won't be taking time off and will instead use the time to work on her forthcoming album.
