LPXIV builds up the courage to release A Little Later project

LPXIV, pronounced as LP the 14th, deals with the insecurity over his art that many artists face. In his own words via email he explained, "In my mind, I could never fail if I kept my art to myself. There’s no healing in that."

So after 18 months, he's come to accept that it was finally time to let the world into his mind and what he's been working on. LPXIV noticed that when it came to his own music, he couldn't move passed the first step: "I became addicted to the beginning of the process. I would make beats, write songs, record them and not share them with the public because I always felt I should wait until I was ready."

His four-track project A Little Later is filled with meditations on growing up in the Robert Taylor Homes in Chicago while his self-produced beats range from a death march, piano melody to a celebratory horn rhythm to help bring in 2020.
