Kodak Black sentenced to 46 months in federal prison
The rapper pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges.
Kodak Black has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison on weapons charges, The Miami Herald reports. The rapper, whose real name is Bill K. Kapri , switched his plea to guilty in August after his arrest at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami.
Black was accused of concealing his criminal history on an application to purchase a firearm in January. The rapper committed a federal offense when he did not reveal his pending felony case on sexual assault charges in South Carolina when applying to purchase the weapon.
One of the guns purchased in January was reportedly found at the scene of an attempted shooting of a rival rapper, and another was discovered by authorities at the Canada-U.S. border when Black and his entourage were attempting to reenter the United States.
