Pure love in its heavenliness and fullness is wrapped into an ethereal record by reggae artist, Mortimer, and given a visual treatment by director Pete Beng.
Produced by Winta James, “Lightning” is a record filled with lyrics that speak to overwhelming adoration for one’s partner. The visuals perfectly match as we see love in its purest forms between two children and the artist’s own family.
“‘Lightning’ is a song I wrote for my wife and I wanted the video to stay true to that,” shares the artist over email. “The video features my wife and our children towards the end. I wanted the vibe to feel as natural as possible, with the person I feel naturally comfortable with and around. That person who has been there for me all these years through thick and thin, ups and downs, frowns and laughter. This video is dedicated to her.”
