Angel Olsen announces new album All Mirrors, shares title track

Watch the gripping, Ashley Connor-directed video.

July 30, 2019

Angel Olsen is back. After quite a bit of teasing, the Asheville-based singer-songwriter has revealed that her fourth studio album, All Mirrors, is coming on October 4 via Jagjaguwar. Detailed as the more sonically embellished half to a two-part project that also found Olsen recording each of its songs in an acoustic setting, this iteration of All Mirrors was produced with John Congleton (who also produced her sophomore album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness).

The first offering from the album is the title track, "All Mirrors," a moment rocketed by Olsen's commanding vibrato and a swelling orchestra. “I chose this one as the title because I liked the theme: the theme of how we are all mirrors to and for each other,” Olsen wrote in a press statement. “Even if that is not all of it, there is always an element of projection in what we’d like to see in people and scenarios and in the way we see ourselves in those scenarios, with those people.”

"All Mirrors" arrives with an equally gripping video, which depicts her in a near Jodorowsky fantasy. Watch the Ashley Connor-directed clip, and check out Olsen's forthcoming tour itinerary, below.
