Freddie Gibbs and Madlib return with “Giannis” featuring Anderson .Paak
Bandana is out June 28.
On Tuesday we got "Giannis," the latest song from Freddie Gibbs and Madlib's highly-anticipated sophomore project Bandana. The two have worked out a chemistry that's no less than magical — Gibbs' hard-bodied flow and Madlib's magical sampled beats already feel like long lost siblings. Anderson .Paak features on "Giannis," and the charismatic funk polymath fits perfectly on a song that could be a theme song for an actually cool 2019 blacksploitation reboot, thanks to all the drug dealing, violence, and sorrow. Listen above. "Giannis" joins "Crime Pays" and "Bandana," two songs from the upcoming Bandana project, out June 23.
