Kesha’s new song says “fuck you” to “Rich, White, Straight, Men”
“What if rich, white, straight, men didn’t rule the world anymore?” Kesha asks on her new track.
Kesha has shared a fiery new track titled "Rich, White, Straight, Men." It's about — as you might expect — what the world might look like if "rich, white, straight, men didn't rule the world anymore." The song touches on a number of firebrand issues at the forefront of America's political situation, including reproductive rights, immigration, LGBT+ rights, sexism and racism. Listen to the track below.
The song is the latest in a series of increasingly political moves from Kesha. Last year she contributed the theme song to Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On The Basis of Sex; in 2017, she dropped her long-awaited record Rainbow, an album held up by her ongoing legal battle with her former producer Dr. Luke, who she accused of sexually assaulting her, which touched on topics like sexual misconduct and feminism.
