Jaden Smith will star as a young Kanye West in Showtime’s Omniverse

Kanye West is entering the world of television production for the first time with Omniverse, an upcoming half-hour limited anthology series from Showtime, Deadline reports.

Jaden Smith is attached to star as a young Kanye West in an alternate reality. Omniverse is currently in development at the network with West, his sometimes-manager Scooter Braun's company SB Projects, and Westbrook Studios. Lee Sung Jin is attached as the writer, with Smith and West credited as executive producers.

Smith and West both recently performed at Coachella.
