Charges against DaBaby in connection to a deadly shooting have been dropped
The rapper has been cleared of charges in connection to a shooting at a North Carolina Wal-Mart.
Rapper DaBaby has had the charges against him in connection to a deadly shooting in North Carolina dropped, according to local news outlet WSOCTV . The shooting left one person - 19-year-old Jalyn Craig - dead, after an incident at a Huntersville Wal-Mart last November. The rapper was previously charged with carrying a concealed gun, and he was the only person charged in connection to the shooting.
The Huntersville Police Department swarmed the scene the night of the incident before taking four people into custody for questioning, but DaBaby was the only person who faced charges. Investigations revealed that the shooting was as a result of a fight between multiple people inside the store, and DaBaby maintained the incident was a matter of self-defense after he was accosted by men with weapons as he shopped with his family.
He would later take to Instagram to share his version of the events.
