R. Kelly is back in police custody over unpaid child support payments
Kelly, who also faces numerous charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, reportedly owes his ex-wife nearly $200,000 in child support.
R. Kelly was "taken into custody" by Cook County Authorities after a hearing on Kelly's allegedly unpaid child support, according to the Associated Press and The Chicago Tribune.
Kelly reportedly owes his ex-wife Andrea Kelly over $200,000. He was reportedly told last month that he could be sent to jail if he did not pay over $161,000 in the child support debts.
The R&B singer spent two days in jail after he was unable to post $100,000 bond following his charges of ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault. He was released after a "suburban woman"posted the money for him.
Kelly strongly denied the accusations of abuse levied against him in an interview with Gayle King on CBC This Morning.
