XXXTentacion admitted to domestic violence in secretly recorded tape
A recently obtained audio snippet from Pitchfork finds the late rapper confessing to a number of violent deeds.
Back in October 2016, the late rapper XXXTentacion was arrested in Miami-Dade on four counts; aggravated battery of his pregnant girlfriend, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. Today, Pitchfork published a recently obtained tape from near the time of that arrest in which XXX confirms the charges brought against him.
In the secretly recorded tape, which can be heard here, the rapper born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy admits to domestic abuse amongst other acts of violence. "She fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started fucking her up bruh," he says. "I started fucking her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life."
Onfroy also admits to a number of stabbings on the tape. “I’m on New Times for stabbing, how many people they put in the news? They said three, it was eight," he says, which reportedly references a January 2016 incident on Deerfield Beach that left three wounded. Nobody was charged for the crime. Elsewhere in the tape, he admits to stabbing a former manager and a number of other heinous crimes he bore witness to.
The Fader has reached out to a representative of XXXTentacion for further comment.
