Shazam will now be ad-free after Apple acquisition
Ad-free will reportedly also be available to Android users.
Apple has reportedly acquired music identifying app Shazam, The Next Web points out. Apple will reportedly make the app ad-free for all users soon — even with Android. Recode points out that the deal values Shazam at approximately $400 million and could be announced as soon as this week.
Recently, Apple unveiled its new line of iPhones, and new iPhone operating system iOS 12, which will include features such as group FaceTime. It is unclear what the new deal means for Shazam's previous deals with Spotify and Snapchat.
