Watch Azealia Banks’s controversial Wild ’N Out appearance
The rapper accused the show’s cast of colorism.
MTV has shared video of Azealia Bank's appearance on Nick Cannon's comedy show Wild 'N Out, as Complex notes. It's pretty uncomfy, overall.
After the show was filmed in July, Banks claimed she was originally scheduled for just a musical performance but took part in a roasting session which she said included "tons of pre-planned colorist jokes" that left her crying. She claimed in the same day that her upcoming project Fantasea II was cancelled.
Banks's response included insults targeting Cannon's lupus diagnosis. The host responded on Instagram "Don't you hate when you create your own storms but forget your umbrella???" However, last weekend Cannon thanked Banks on Instagram "for coming back out and completing the show like a strong Queen and going High that day."
Since filming Wild 'N Out, Azealia Banks has shared the video for "Anna Wintour" and gotten into it with Grimes and Elon Musk.
