Madonna made the VMAs Aretha Franklin tribute all about herself
The pop singer explained her life story, with some awkward twists and turns, during her Aretha Franklin tribute speech.
Madonna took the stage on Monday night, dressed a black gown and a large collection of necklaces, and proceeded to give a lengthy speech about her start in music and how she sang "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" at her first audition. She reserved an extremely short section of her speech to actually talk about Aretha Franklin's life and legacy. Those watching at home noticed how little care seemed to be payed to the Queen of Soul.
