All summer romances should be soundtracked by Kranium’s “No Odda”
Another perfect-for-summer song from the Queens-based hitmaker.
Last summer, Kranium’s “Can’t Believe” was my on-repeat, walking-around-in-the-summer song. Since the release of his 2013 breakout “Nobody Has To Know,” the Queens, New York-based dancehall star’s been noted for his ability to make hot 'n' heavy, sweaty bump-and-grind bops. Premiering today on The FADER, however, is his new video for “No Odda,” a breezy and warm track that channels the more romantic side of love.
“Women and love were at the top of mind for me in making ‘No Odda,’” Kranium shared of the new song over email. “Fans know me for singing a lot about sex. However, while sex is amazing I wanted to take things in a different direction and focus on love because it’s the ingredient that takes sex to a deeper level of passion. On the record, I sample the dancehall classic ‘No Letting Go.’ For the video, I wanted to bring that classic early 2000’s music video feel.”
Watch the video for “No Odda” above, get the track for yourself, and catch Kranium headlining Summerstage on July 7th at Queens, NY’s Springfield Park.
