Mexico beat Germany in the World Cup and people are losing their minds
Their openers were a huge upset for the riegning World Cup champs.
The group stage of the World Cup is well underway, with national teams facing off in Moscow to compete for the title. On Sunday, Mexico and Germany faced off in what was predicted to be a win for Germany, as they are four-time World Cup champions, and were strong contenders for the 2018 title. But during the 35th minute of the game, a beautiful goal from Mexico's Hirving Lozano put the score at 1-0, Mexico. Try as they might, the rest of the game Germany was unable to score.
As Lozano scored, Mexico's fans went wild, in Russia and around the world. According to The New York Times, the cheering in Mexico City caused a minor earthquake in the center.
