Tiffany Haddish will produce an HBO comedy about “female blackness” and “the Instagram hustle”
From writers Danielle Henderson and Xosha Roquemore.
Tiffany Haddish will produce Unsubscribed, a new comedy series for HBO, Variety reports. The series will act as "an examination of female blackness, beauty, and identity through a behind-the-scenes look at the Instagram hustle."
The project comes from writers Xosha Roquemore and Danielle Henderson, who previously wrote for Hulu's Difficult People and HBO's own Divorce. The series marks the first writing gig for Roquemore, who starred on The Mindy Project, which closed in 2017, and currently has a role on Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here.
Unsubscribed marks the inaugural project of Haddish's first-look deal with HBO, which she signed at the start of this year. She currently stars opposite Tracy Morgan on TBS's new comedy The Last O.G., which premiered April 3 to massive ratings.
