Konshens’s new video for “Big Belly” is all about the money
Miami and Kingston connect in the dancehall star’s newest clip.
Earlier this month, Kingston, Jamaica’s Konshens dropped his most recent project, It Feel Good. Today, the dancehall star returns with a new visual from the album, for the star-studded stand-out “Big Belly.” Featuring Rick Ross and longtime collaborator Rvssian (who in a rare instance, contributes vocals to the track), the clip shows the three stars kicking it in Florida and Kingston while they reflect on how they’ve stacked up and made it on their own terms.
“The song is really a street anthem coming from Kingston, Jamaica, about living the life that I think most youths around the world can really identify with,” Konshens said of the track over email. “Half of America is immigrants, and I think most of us have the same mindset — to be productive and elevate ourselves and our families.” Of the video he shared: “I think it captures the idea of what we are saying — youth who come from zero and try to make zeros.” Watch it above.
