D’Angelo postponed a gig to work on new material
A notice of the London show’s delay came with some good news.
On Monday, D'Angelo postponed a concert at the Eventim Apollo in London, previously scheduled for March 6. The statement issued by management, obtained by NME, notifying fans gave an exciting reason for the pushback: new music.
“As D’Angelo has been working in the studio, deep in the recording process, he apologizes to any fans that this announcement might impact and is excited to see you all in June,” it reads. The rescheduled show will take place on June 21.
In 2014 D'Angelo released his album Black Messiah with The Vanguard. It won a Grammy in 2016 for Best R&B album.
