Courtney Barnett covers INXS for Australian Apple ad

Courtney Barnett recorded a cover of INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart" for an Australian Apple commercial in support of same-sex marriage, which became legal in Australia in December 2017. The sixty-second spot is called "First Dance," and shows just that. The handful of newlyweds were, according to the ad, all shot having their first dance at their wedding on the iPhone X.

As Pitchfork points out, the fellow Australian is a pro at INXS covers, having once performed their album Kick in its entirety. Her new album, Tell Me How You Really Feel, will be out in May.
