Donald Trump’s tweets at LaVar Ball equate to $13 million in advertisements
This probably wasn’t the president’s intent.
Donald Trump's November tweets at LaVar Ball were controversial, to put it mildly. In the tweets from November 19, the president called LaVar "ungrateful" and said that he should have left LiAngelo Ball in a Chinese jail.
Three days later, Trump tweeted again, saying "LaVar is just a poor man’s version of Don King, but without the hair." Trump also took credit for releasing LiAngelo Ball from jail, before calling LaVar Ball an "ungrateful fool."
It turns out the Twitter tirade did more for LaVar Ball than it did for President Trump. In a report by ESPN Trump's tweets were the equivalent of $13 million dollars in advertisements. The pre-Thanksgiving tantrum couldn't have come at a better time for Big Baller Brand. The first orders of ZO2's were shipped out on Friday.
