Bob Dylan’s guitar sold for $394,500
The 1963 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar was used during multiple performances during the 1970’s.
The expected bid for Bob Dylan's guitar was topped by over $100,000 in an auction, according to the Associated Press. The guitar was used in George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh in 1971 and the Rolling Thunder Revue tour from 1975.
The guitar was originally bought from Dylan in 1977 for $500, making the most recent sale price of $394,500 raised by 789 percent. The purchaser of the guitar has remained anonymous.
