Report: Chris Cornell Committed Suicide By Hanging
The Soundgarden frontman died Tuesday evening.
Chris Cornell, frontman for Soundgarden and Audioslave, was found dead on Wednesday night at a hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit following a show. On Thursday, the Associated Press reports that the Wayne County Medical Examiner has determined the singer committed suicide by hanging. He was 52. Cornell was discovered unresponsive by a family friend, who had been sent to check in on him by his wife.
