Watch Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga Sing “Happy Birthday” To Elton John
The two performed at Elton John’s star-studded 70th Birthday Gala.
Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga sang "Happy Birthday" to Elton John at his 70th birthday gala, on Saturday night in Los Angeles.
The two powerhouse singers honored John with a duet rendition of "Happy Birthday," from Stevie Wonder's 1980 album Hotter Than July. Gaga later performed "Bad Romance" and "Born This Way" in a short set on the piano. Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Jon Hamm and Neil Patrick Harris were also among the guests.
When discussing his birthday on Beats 1’s Zane Lowe earlier this week, John expressed his joy for celebrating birthdays, including his own. "Some people don’t like birthdays, they don’t like celebrating, they don’t want to know about them, and I’ve always enjoyed my birthday," he said. "When I was growing up, 70 sounded like the end of the world but things have changed –– you’re only as old as you feel inside.”
