Barry Jenkins Won His First Oscar
The filmmaker won the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar with Tarell Alvin McCraney.
At Sunday's 89th Academy Awards, Barry Jenkins won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay for his film Moonlight with Tarell Alvin McCraney. The coming-of-age narrative was both directed and adapted for the screen by Jenkins from a play by Tarell Alvin Mccraney. The award is Jenkins's first Oscar.
