Blacka Da Don And Eestbound Rise And Fall In The “Doin Tingz” Music Video
The Toronto rapper’s mixtape A Part Of My Story is out this year.
Toronto rapper Blacka Da Don is riding his credit on Drake's More Life track "Two Birds, One Stone" into a new music video for "Doin Tingz," premiering today on The FADER. With his co-producer Eestbound along for the ride, "Doin Tingz" tells the story of two warehouse workers tired of their 9-to-5 jobs, which leads to some scamming, and serious consequences. When paired with Blacka's fully-automatic flexing amongst the track's celebratory atmosphere, the visuals avoid the finger-wagging tone of a cautionary tale.
"The video for 'Doin Tingz' was inspired by my life style growing up and the experiences I have been through," Blacka told The FADER over email. "Me and Eestbound had been working closely on the production side of things but once I wrote this record and we heard it played back we knew right then and there he needed to be on the hook, with his catchy melodic voice."
"Doin Tingz" will appear on Blacka Da Don's mixtape A Part Of My Story, out in 2017.
