Bernie Sanders Finds Balenciaga’s Bernie-Inspired Designs Hilarious
The Vermont Senator spoke to CNN about the French label’s Fall ’17 menswear collection.
Bernie Sanders's rise as a fashion icon was sealed last month when Balenciaga honored the Senator with a line of clothes inspired by him during Paris Fashion Week. The French fashion house debuted tees, jackets, and blanket scarves on the runway, reworking the red-and-blue campaign logo and replacing Sanders's name with "Balenciaga."
We hadn't heard Bernie's take on all of this until now. Speaking to CNN's Jake Tapper about something the host described as "frivolous" on Sunday he seemed very amused. "Of my many attributes, being a great dresser is not one of them," he joked. Check out the clip above.
