Hear A New Toro Y Moi Song From The Anti-Trump Compilation Our First 100 Days
“I’m not an activist. But I’d like to show my support somehow.”
Our First 100 Days, the compilation offering a new track from a different artist every day for the first 100 days of the Trump administration, dropped off a contribution from Toro Y Moi today, "Omaha." It's a dreamy, melancholy jam with a warm, live feel.
Along with the track, Chaz shared a short message, saying, "Im not a political person. I'm not an activist. But I'd like to show my support somehow. Do you think we're stuck in a system? The more we can educate ourselves on race, sex, and religion the better. Just be decent. Stop the violence."
Proceeds from the compilation benefit organizations helping populations put at risk by Trump's policies, and other contributors include Mitski, Angel Olsen, Tim Heidecker, and more. Meanwhile, Chaz is prepping a new record for late March, Star Stuff, a collaboration with prog-jazz duo The Mattson 2.
