Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Soulja Boy And Chris Brown’s Alleged Boxing Match
An Instagram squabble has apparently turned into a Las Vegas event.
In a very surreal turn of events, Soulja Boy and Chris Brown both claim they will be taking part in a boxing match in March to settle their online beef, according to both rappers on Instagram.
The whole debacle played out over social media, and if you haven't had the patience to keep up from the beginning, here's everything you need to know about the whole thing.
It all began last week when Soulja Boy liked this picture of Karreuche Tran, Brown's ex-girlfriend, on Instagram.
In a video, Soulja Boy claimed that Brown had then FaceTimed him about the photo, saying that he wanted to fight him for liking it.
Brown responded with his own video saying that Soulja Boy was the one "continuously" calling him, and then shouted out his friend and boxer Adrien Broner to "set up the gym."
...And also pulled out a screenshot.
The two then had a multi-day heated exchange over Twitter and Instagram. Here are the highlights:
Karrueche decided to also chime in with her own post.
Then Soulja Boy brought Royalty, Brown's daughter, into the mix, tweeting "Chilled with royalty and Nia tonight at Floyds house," and referenced Nia Guzman, Royalty's mother. The tweet has since been put on private.
Brown responded to the tweet with an Instagram video (that has since been deleted) saying "we're gonna set up this fight," and told the rapper to stop talking about his daughter.
On January 3, Soulja Boy got robbed on Instagram Live.
The next day, Soulja Boy posted a video on Instagram apologizing for his behavior and said that mother is in the hospital.
Soulja Boy then posted a promotional poster for their fight on Instagram. According to the AP, the fight will take place in Las Vegas sometime in March.
Soulja Boy has been training with Floyd Mayweather to prepare for the match, and Brown has revealed he's been working with Mike Tyson.
