Country singer Sam Hunt has made a surprise New Years return by dropping "Drinking Too Much," a new single. The track, which was released midnight on New Years Eve, was written as an apology to his ex, who Hunt is now back together with, and also touches on Hunt's experience dealing with alcohol. "Drinking Too Much" is also Hunt's first new song since his critically acclaimed first album, Montavello.
For the icing on the cake, a source has also told The FADER that Hunt and his girlfriend are now engaged, which makes "Drinking Too Much" come full circle from Montavello which was also about his girlfriend (now fiancée).
