Sicko Mobb And Silento Bring Text Conversations To Life In The “Emoji” Video
Heart eyes, money bags, and alien heads are everywhere.
Chicago rap duo Sicko Mobb and "Whip" rapper Silento bring text message threads to life in their video for "Emoji," premiering today on The FADER. It's a stimulating visual that documents our obsession with communicating through images to convey emotions. Heart-eyed girls playfully pose as illustrated roses and money bags pop out to convey the guys's sappy moods.
Over email, Mobb told The FADER, "The record was something we felt had to be made because we love using emojis when we are texting and using IG. Using emojis is the new way to talk and we wanted to create a record to put sounds to this craze."
He continued: "It was cool working with Silento. He brought a lot of energy to the record and video. The connection was natural. We are hype to bring Atlanta and Chicago together on a record with a young and fly vibe."
