Nef The Pharaoh Is Living The High Life In His “Everything Big” Video
The Vallejo rapper’s Fresh Outta Space 3 mixtape is on the way.
Nef The Pharaoh soundtracked functions in the Bay Area and beyond with his 2015 breakout hit "Big Tymin," catching the attention of hometown hero E-40 and his Sick Wid' It Records label. The Vallejo, California rapper built on his buzz with a self-titled EP, and a strong collaborative mixtape with Cardo Got Wings earlier this year, but his full-length Sick Wid' It debut is still forthcoming. In the interim, Nef has decided to share Fresh Outta Space 3, a compilation of songs that didn't make his album. The project marks the third installment of the 2011 mixtape series that featured some of the first songs the 21-year-old ever recorded.
The video for "Everything Big" - which premieres today on The FADER - is the first sample of Nef's new project and his ongoing work in 2016. The boastful P-Lo-produced banger picks up where "Big Tymin" left off but, as the title implies, everything is on another level. Dipped in a chinchilla fur coat, Nef showcases his new lifestyle, as he raps about how far he's come.
"I’m fresh from being on the road for so long. I’m finally back home, back in the Bay, and I’m feeling saturated," Nef The Pharaoh told The FADER over email. "This project reflects that I’ve become more wise in my surroundings; I’ve become more alert to life - I appreciate things more. Every day I wake up happy I’m here. This mixtape is me giving myself to the world and doing what I’m supposed to do. And giving you a fun soundtrack for your life."
