Watch Phantogram’s Video For “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore”
The duo gets creepy out in the desert.
Phantogram recently released the first single, "You Don't Get Me High Anymore," from their forthcoming record and today the duo has put up its accompanying skin-crawling video. Shot out in the Salton Sea, the band engages in some off-putting behaviors and house destruction. It all looks very stunning. In a statement to The FADER, Phantogram's Josh Carter had this to say about the new video:
“You Don’t Get Me High Anymore is about the loneliness in superficial relationships and that feeling of not being able to find happiness in places that were once so easy to come across. The desolation in Bombay Beach represents that feeling really well. The area was once a promising vacation spot before the droughts and now it’s a ghost town. We were excited that Grant [Singer] picked that spot, he understood the aesthetic of the song right off the bat and ran with it.”
