patten Return With New Album Ψ
Hear new song “Sonne” now.
Experimental electronic act patten's last album was 2014's ESTOILE NAIANT, released on Warp Records. In between the duo reworked Cocteau Twins and Death Grips in June of this year. Next up will be their third LP, and second on Warp, which will be released on September 16 and titled Ψ (pronounced Psi).
In a statement about the new music, A and D of patten said: “There were atmospheres, palettes and textures we were interested in looking at and distilling on Ψ - like the grinding city sounds of Industrial music, the bass weight of UK dance's Hardcore Continuum, the emotive drive of 80s Goth, the techy weirdness of current pop music like Rihanna, the sonics of modern club like Grime, Footwork and Techno.” Check out new song "Sonne" above and peep the new album artwork below.
